Educational attainment is closely correlated with economic opportunity and financial stability. Completion at the post-secondary level is emerging as the most important measure of educational success for this economy. Some of these measures are pre-indicators, which demonstrate how well an individual will perform and the likelihood they will stay on track to achieve post secondary completion. Additionally, students attaining degrees and certificates contribute to the quality of the county's work force and economy. It is estimated that college graduates earn about $1 million more per lifetime than their non-graduate peers earn.
